A very nice place for short, easy walks in the beautiful woods. I take my daughter here all the time.
Easy hiking trails through the woods and along the river. Lots of wildlife if you like that kind of thing. There is a visitor center and bathrooms for convenience. A field for kids to run around in and places for picnic lunches. A good place for a few hou r s or afternoon with the family.
It's incredibly peaceful, and an absolutely great way to kill an hour or two.
A great place to come for walks, interesting floodplain forest, plants, birds, etc.
I visited this place in April and saw bald eagle nests, a great blue heron rookery and great horned owl nests. Very worth going.
